I can't watch the winter Olympics. They stress me out.
This is the same reason I've never watched American Idol. Watching someone with ONE SHOT, just ONE MINUTE, to make all their dreams come true and then watching them crash or fall, it just depresses me.
I know about the occasional uplifting stories where they just nail it, but for that to happen 1 in 100 times during the Olympics is not good enough for me. I would rather watch 1,000 Shaun Whites. When they're so far and above the greatest in their sport that they've completely changed the game. That I can watch all day.
I probably owe you an email. I might owe you an email from last summer or it might just be from last week. But chances are, I know I owe it to you and I'm very fretful over it. This article from Zen Habits is helping me take control of the inbox monster.
Who doesn't think about things like this? I have been thinking about this article all week. Grass: Greener.
Marked under "huh. well will you look at that." Chair leg socks.
A couple of years ago we restored some old footage from The Gorilla's childhood. It was so special. ScanCafe does this for your old family photos, bringing those memories back to life and making them last quite a bit longer in the digital realm. I love stuff like this.
If you've ever known anyone who has struggled with addiction, this post will make you weep. I was stopped dead in my tracks.
(If you're here from LoveFeast Table - welcome! Feel free to poke around. If you didn't get enough fancy in your Friday, I have more for you. Both from my former blog: The Fanciest Baby Shower and My First Fancy Dinner Party. Enjoy!)
Happy weekend, HH readers!
