Disclosure: I was given a pair of Marc Allison jeans at Blissdom. I have never done reviews on HH (beyond book opinions), and I'm not sure I want to get into that territory. After much thinking about it, I've decided that it's okay to pass along my thoughts on items relevant to Hollywood Housewife. I cannot think of anything more universally relevant than jeans.
I used to be more of a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal, but in the last few years I've become more and more dependent on dresses. They're comfortable and an all-in-one outfit. Benefits, benefits. When I do wear jeans, I'm usually going for comfortable. But a girl cannot live by Levi's alone.
My new go-to pair of jeans are the Marc Allison skinny jeans.
In theory, I didn't have high hopes for them. Not because of the brand, but because my post-pregnancy body gives all denim a run for it's money. But I was seduced by their softness and the dark wash, so I gave them a whirl.
Many, many whirls. Multiple whirls. When does it become less of a whirl and more like what-I-grab-off-the-floor-every-day? They are so, so soft. There's some kind of a reason for this: polymers and fibers and a patented cross-fit. What it results in is a fabric that stretches for comfort, but holds it's shape while you're wearing it and over time.
I've been throwing my boots over them for casual day-wear, and with heels for night.
I took this to show you how cute these jeans are on, but the only thing I succeeded in showing you is the messy state of my bathroom.
These days, quality jeans are so expensive that you have to choose wisely. I have no problems recommending you head straight to the dressing room with a pair of Marc Allison's thrown over your arm.
Relevant reviews, yay or nay? Sound off in the comments. As important: tell me about your favorite jeans. I could probably do a whole series on my denim evolution, but I'll refrain. For now.
