We've officially been in the new house two weeks today. I stopped by the old house yesterday to check the mail and pick up some random wires that we left. The stagers have started their work, so it feels a little like someone else already lives there.
I got a little nostalgic seeing foreign furniture in our space. Even though The Gorilla bought the house before we even started dating, I put my mark on it. In six years we made important memories there.
We had our first kiss.
We said our first I love yous.
We returned there from our honeymoon.
We made our baby.
We brought home our baby.
We survived three major remodel projects.
We celebrated a #1 movie.
I took late night calls from my brother in Iraq.
We hosted family weekends, fantasy football drafts, college friends, dozens of cookouts, a farewell party, and welcome home party, a documentary night series, and a funeral.
Yes, a funeral.
I can only remember a handful of times I shed tears in that house, but can remember hundreds of times I doubled over belly laughing.
It was a great house.

Certain things in my life feel like Groundhog Day to me. I can't decide it this makes it comfortable or if it needs a shakeup. My Hate Affair With Nicholas Sparks made me think about it. (Sarah Markley)

If you're a little prudish, you might not want to check this next one yet. A few in the comments say this isn't a "mom" issue, but I kind of think it is. Wax, Shave, or Ignore? (Momversation)
Did you know that there are whole teams of librarians who do dances with their carts? They have funny names. Oh, yes, after I saw this one I YouTube'd them all. (The Book Lady's Blog)
