Even though our Memorial Day girl's weekend at the lake was technically a bachelorette for Erin, this was actually our forth annual girls weekend away for this group of my college sorority sisters.
For the past four Springs we've jetted off to a fun destination to celebrate one thing or another, but mainly just to spend time together.
Somewhere along the way we added party favors into the mix. Every year a Dallas friend of mybestfriendfromcollege Alyson makes us a weekend CD compilation that includes the best music of the year. We look forward to these CDs every year.
Last year, Carrie brought us all matching sunglasses to Mexico. This made for super cute pictures.
Since I was hosting the weekend at my lake house, I wanted something that really said "Welcome!" I went with pink striped beach towels with a monogrammed initial from Lands End. They turned out great!
However you choose to greet your houseguests or your host, you can do so inexpensively and with style, even if you just make a card for their pillow. I found a tree stamp at Michaels and these pre-cut tags in the clearance bin at Paper Source. I used a brown ink pad I already had to make these super simple tags that I tied around the towels with glittery yarn I found at Wal-Mart. I left them on the bed to designate room assignments.
We tied on a set of camouflage koozies that bestfriendfromcollege Alyson had made. It was such a fun welcome, I thought.
I'm always looking for new ideas - Have you ever given or received a particularly cute party favor?
