Everything in my household is revolving around October 15th, the date my husband's movie opens in theaters nationwide.
A few nights ago, a commercial for this movie came on.
"Ooooh, great cast," I said, "We should go see that."
And the end of the trailer:
The Gorilla narrowed his eyes.
I stammered, "I mean, I hate that movie. It looks terrible. No one is going to see that movie. What a joke."
And then, he smiled.
Wednesday night I attended a Blogger Prom with Elizabeth from Traded My BMW For A Minivan at the fabulous Yamashiro. Fun fact: the same architect who designed the restaurant (then a private residence) in the '20's, also designed our home.
We ate really yummy food (no kidding - I stalked the waiter with the pass tray of spicy plum sauce chicken all night) and people watched and it was an all-around enjoyable evening.
The Blogger Prom theme was "Old Hollywood" which I think I pulled off in my white ruffled 3.1 Phillip Lim dress I bought for the 2006 premiere of Jackass 2. It's been hanging in my closet for four years and I wasn't sure where I would ever wear it again. This was perfect! (Thanks for the invite, Elizabeth!)
On to the links:
I love the pictures and details from this Oklahoma City wedding. Nope, I don't know the couple, the photographer, or even the venue. Oklahoma isn't that small. Okay, yes it is. But I don't know them. (Snippet & Ink)
They should be revolting, but for some bizarro reason I really want these Anonymous Cream Bear tights. (Etsy - QooQoo Fashion)
I loved my bridesmaids and all, but where were THESE when I got married? It was only three years ago. (Woo!)
Does God Speak To You? This is the best thing I've read this week. (Rachel Held Evans)
Remember how last week I said that I was going to start posting about Housewife Heart this week? Well, this large task is even larger than I thought. I want to do the project justice. Posts to come, though, I pinky promise.
We plan on going to the zoo and having a date night this weekend. I'm wildly looking forward to both. Do you have plans?
Happy Weekend, HH readers!
