I realize things have been a little bit materialistic this week, but it is the week before Christmas, after all. People are looking for gift ideas and beauty inspiration for holiday parties.
We'll be back to my regularly scheduled nostalgia and introspection next week.
For now, here are some things that are really floating my boat:
Vivienne Westwood shoes by Melissa.
(Click here to see the best collection of them.)
I am absolutely obsessed with these shoes. They are hands down the most comfortable heels that I've ever put on my feet. That's because they're...plastic! Yep, soft plastic. Heaven. Also because they're padded on the ball of the foot. (Why aren't all heels?) I bought two pair (the others are white and gold) at the Vivienne Westwood store while we were in London.
Did I mention they smell like bubblegum? On purpose. Scented shoes.
Colored Stud Earrings from H&M
Please tell me an occasion when these would NOT be appropriate. And the best part?
Hip Slip by Shoot Sac Laptop Case
While I firmly believe in the one-bag rule when traveling with a baby, I have run into a few occasions when I have needed to carry my laptop in something other than an ugly, bulky backpack.
I saw this one on Jules Bianchi's shoulder and ordered one for myself almost immediately.
If I were a better photographer, I would definitely want a Shoot Sac, too.
A friend of a friend sent me this bottle of 100% Argan oil which quickly replaced my Vitamin E addiction (Argan oil is full of Vitamin E). You can use it on your hair to make it sleek and shiny, or on dry cuticles or skin.
Before I started my new skincare regimen, I was using it on my face at night for ultimate softness in the morning.
(psst, Amal oils is offering free gift wrapping and shipping for the month of December. Just type in discount code HOLIDAY at checkout.)
Shu Uemura White Tea Polishing Milk
I hate dealing with my hair. If I could pull off a Sinead O'Conner look, I would. But I can't. So I'm stuck complaining about my locks.
I put the Shu Uemura White Tea Polishing Milk on my wet, combed out hair and call it a day. As it dries, it's significantly less frizzy and dry looking. Most days that's ALL I do. If I'm feeling fancy, I run a flat iron over it all a couple of times. My hair is stick straight, but anything that lets me do even less with it than usual, I'm a fan.
What are you into right now? Any subject welcome!
