Whenever I'm in my Oklahoma hometown, I try to make it out to see my dear high school friend Amy. It is impossible for our lives to be any more different from one another.
For example, she lives on farm. Not a farm farm (they don't depend on it for sustenance) but they have mules and pigs and chickens, so in my world that's a farm.
And I don't think she would mind me saying that it's in the middle of nowhere.
But her beautiful home (on a farm, in the middle of nowhere) is far from rustic. It's widely known to be the Best Place For Kids Ever. Remember the old boat? That was at Amy's house.
And it's not just the outdoors, either. Fun abounds inside Miss Amy's abode.
There's always something different, but this time there was a full band setup.
Everyone had a part to play.
Pigtail gave the violin a whirl.
But found the drums to be more her speed.
Aren't farm friends fun?
Tomorrow is my one year HH Blog Birthday! I'm treating you to a few much-needed tweaks to commemorate the occasion, so starting at 12pm PST, HH will be down for maintenance. Check back tomorrow for the big reveal!
(And if you're not so into change? Don't worry, things around here aren't going to look that different. Promise.)
