Liqwd sent me the volumizing hair products to try a couple of months ago, and I have to say that I'm impressed. When I first took them out of the box, I oohed and ahhed at the packaging. The box that the products come in is velvety soft and the actual shampoo container is brightly colored and substantial.
(This may seem like an inconsequential thing to notice, but it's not. I always pay attention to the detail of products I use and have in my home. For beauty products, the form is second to function, of course, but it's a bonus when I like the product enough to leave it out on my counter. It also doubles the chance that I'll purchase it again. Liqwd's packaging is among the best I've seen.)
I've been using the volumizing shampoo and conditioner. The formulas are thick and luxurious and feel more like a salon formula than the hair care that normally lives in my shower, which means I feel like I've had a salon washing when I step out of the shower. My hair looks good and, most importantly for me, there is no residue left on my scalp. Shiny, pretty hair means that I have one less thing to fuss over when I leave the house.
I really want to learn how to do pretty eye makeup. I always admire it on other people, but can't ever seem to pull it off for myself. Oh sure, I can do a quick smoky eye for evening, or even a little daytime eyeliner, but layered, shaded eye color? I'm a novice.
I decided to try the Bobbi Brown eyeshadows after it was recommended to me from several different people. I have not been disappointed it. I bought three soft, glittery-but-not-too-glittery day colors and have been experimenting with them frequently. I love the colors and I like how they don't smudge and stay on throughout the day.
I'm still on a steep eyeshadow learning curve, but Bobbi Brown's palatte is helping me learn.
(If you're curious, the three shades I chose - pictured above - are Champagne Quartz, Rose Gold, and Copper Cocoa. So versatile!)
I've made no secret of my love for Kate Spade. But one of my new favorite things there isn't for myself - it makes for a thoughtful gift.
This hand in hand bangle in rose gold is part of their committment to support women worldwide and 25% of the profits from the bangle is donated to that cause.
What I liked about it is the color (my watch is also rose gold, I love the look of it) and the sayings that are etched on it. On the outside it says, "hand in hand" and on the inside it says, "there's strength in numbers." I just like that. This makes a great gift for a friend or a thank you gift to someone you appreciate. I like how it's enough unexpected, but still compliments lots of styles.
What are you into right now?
With the exception of the Liqwd shampoo, which was sent to me, I purchased the products above. All opinions are solely my own. I don't post about things unless I genuinely like them. This is my promise to you.
