My mom is here because she was going to stay with Pigtail while we were in Japan. Only we're not in Japan. So my mom is just here. I'm glad that she is - we're having such fun!
She's made amazing meals like fried pork chops one night and short ribs on another. She makes me eggs and toast and sometimes waffles in the morning. The Gorilla and I have gained at least five pounds in five days.
She's spent endless hours showing Pigtail pictures and videos on the computer. This exercise delights them both.
So naturally they feed each other potato chips.
She thought that she was going to have a lot of time on her hands while we were gone, so she bought a sewing machine and shipped it to our house in advance of her arrival. Most people would probably buy something from this century. Not my mom! She ordered this relic off of ebay, excited because it's the same machine she has as home. Which she's had for, oh, thirty years or so.
This is the same woman who dumps buckets of steaming water into my energy efficient washing machine because "new washers and dryers don't use enough water to get anything clean."
