We have been so lucky to make amazing friends in the town where we have our lake house. The first friends we made were with the builder of our house and his wife, and they've become the kind of people we will know for the rest of our lives.
Ashley and her husband built their dream home last year and I wish I had the photography skill to show you how beautiful it is. But first of all, let me just tell you that they consistently call this their house "in-town."
This is the road you take to get there.
This is the second road. Someone please raise your hand when you see signs of "town."
I tease them about it, but personally I'm glad that there isn't much "town" to be seen. It's like a little oasis out there.
It's light and airy, but with dark floors and warm stone details.
A big, beautiful kitchen with light fixtures that I love.
And a cozy master.
But my absolute favorite part of the house is the outdoor room.
I can imagine sitting here in the summer with a lemonade, in the Fall watching football, and in the winter with a steamy cocoa.
It's just gorgeous. In town or in the country.
