As most of you know (because many of you are the ones who brought it to my attention) the HH facebook situation has been a disaster. I'm not sure if I set it up wrong or if the FB glitch gods just set their eyes on me, but the whole thing has never functioned as it should. So I finally just bit the bullet and started over.
This is a major pain, I get it. I really, really get it.
But, if you're so inclined, please go "like" the new! improved! functioning! HH facebook page.
It's prettier there. And it works better. With your "like" you'll get more HH content, including my random musings, polls, pictures, and discussion. If you're already a fb fan, you'll want to "like" the new page, as I'll stop using the old one entirely on April 1.

I took my parents to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library this week, which was really quite stunning. We all wandered around with lumps in our throat.
We ate lunch outside staring at the beautiful California landscape and I got sun on my face and sun on my chest and I talked openly and without much thought, which is how I always talk to my parents.
They were in hog heaven honoring these parts of our history and I couldn't think of any other place I'd rather be that day than there, with them.

For your weekend reading pleasure:
This woman stopped writing her very popular (and very personal) column for the Wall Street Journal because her husband asked her to. She explains why here. As someone who puts a lot of our life on the internet, while married to someone who sometimes can't find the internet, I related to what she was saying. Even though I made some privacy boundaries for this blog and social media, it does all still get in the way sometimes.
Lauren writes really interesting pieces. She makes me wish I kept a better journal of some of the most important phases of my life. (The important phases of my life tend to be when I check out on journaling. I do not know why this is. Wait, yes I do.) Ten Things I've Learned About Sex in Six Months of Marriage (Lauren Nicole Love)
My friend Anna, who blogs about blogging, has had two noteworthy posts lately that have made me think, but for different reasons. We Need To Talk About People On the Internet hit a nerve with me since I'm a blogger, and a mom, and I have help with my kids, and I have pretty much all these same emotions about all that. And for those who follow her always insightful bloggy posts, Sponsored Posts Are Hard To Turn Down Because They Are Worth Thousands of Dollars. Don't be deceived by the title here. The sponsored posts here at HH are not worth (anywhere near) thousands of dollars. (ABDPBT)
Longtime HH reader Rhiannon started a Typepad blog using the HOLLYWOODHOUSEWIFE coupon code that gives you three months free, and she is just too darling. I'm loving her outfit posts. But I really liked her post about her Personal Style Icon: Enid Coleslaw, because I have a few of those from my youth, too. (Rhiannon In Dreamland)
I told you that I wanted to watch GCB, and I did. I wrote my review here. (Blogher)

I am so happy to be in LA for the weekend after being away for two weeks in a row. We have family time planned, and a party to attend. What are your plans for the next few days?
