Rob is a video producer living in his hometown of St. Louis. He hasn't yet done the marriage or kids thing. He is currently not a relationship. Let's right that, shall we?
Surely, with all the degrees of separation, someone knows someone who knows a good quality single woman in the St. Louis area?
Besides Rob, we've had another houseguest this week, another friend of The Gorilla's from college. We love having them visit, they took long walks with our kids, and cheered with us over basketball.
Speaking of basketball, we are so excited that the Thunder made it to the NBA finals! We are Lakers fans first, Thunder fans second. So if it can't be the Lakers, we're beside ourselves that it's the Thunder. They're such an easy team to love.
Like father, like daughter.
Pirate is teething. A big 'ole tooth poking right through. That's made for a very loud week filled with early morning. You've just gotta push through this phase, I've learned.
Also, we're starting our kitchen remodel in two weeks. This has made me feel crazy. The last time we remodeled something I nearly had to take to my bed with a nervous breakdown. Believe me, I'm so glad that we're doing it. But I wish we were on the other side of doing it.
If you're new here, Friday is always a random catch all. I need at least one day to be free and flighty.
If you were part of the HH facebook page, this week you could have taken part in a discussion about the Real Housewives of New York premiere, or you could have posted your own blog's FB page in a thread for others to follow.
There's a daily discussion over there, you can like the page here.
For your weekend reading pleasure:
I recently gave a pair of bookends as a gift, and I was so happy with them. They were basically awesome. Here is a fantastic roundup of all the best bookends out there. (Style Carrot)
Did you even know there was such a thing as a Montessori bedroom? I didn't either. I did find the philosophy behind this pretty interesting. (Grey Likes Baby)
I can't read a word of this site, but she links to me and so I clicked to see. Immediately I wanted her life. How beautiful are those pictures? (Kotirouva Lontoossa)
No matter your religious beliefs, this post gave me so much to think about. How our generation frames their words, it's the opposite of earnest. I know I'm entirely guilty of it myself, but the fear is that you won't be taken seriously if you're too serious. Which doesn't make any sense. (Her.meneutics)
There's no denying it, we're in the middle of full-on summer. I hope you have fun plans for the weekend. I'm hoping to spend some time in the pool with the kids, or reading my new books.
Happy weekend, HH readers!
