Last night I threw a little red party for a few friends to watch the election results. I served my enchiladas with extra red sauce, Spanish red rice, and, for dessert, these red velvet sandwich cookies.
We had chips and salsa as a starter and red wine and red candies throughout the evening.
The dinner, dessert, and company were wonderful. For us, the same cannot be said for the election results.
I went to bed deeply disappointed. I hope to wake up with a new resolve.
There's so much that needs to change in our country, on all sides of the aisle.
Now to see if that's possible.
