Both domestically and internationally, the movie has far exceeded expectations. It was so well received (there was far less critique about the franchise signaling the end of civiliation as we know it, or the stupidity of the masses, etc., etc.) and incredibly well attended for a movie that was seen as a fourth sequel. It wasn't exactly a sequel. This movie was a single character, with actors and a narrative, and very unlike the first three movies. I was told more than once that by the end credits, viewers had a lump in their throats.
Here's a really great interview with The Gorilla about his next movie, here's an analytical review of the movie's surprising opening weekend box office.
We are thrilled with the movie's success and it caps off a tumultuous year with more great news for The Gorilla around the corner. (I'm such a tease.) Thanks for letting me brag on my man.
