Our beautiful kitchen remodel is finally 100% done! It's really been done for nearly two months, but we were waiting on the final piece (the custom hood over the range) before I could show you.
We are so in love with how it turned out. Since we kept the layout the same and almost all of the same applicances, it doesn't make a huge dramatic impact right when you walk in. But it just feels right, you know?
People thought we were crazy when we went for gold details, but I think they make the whole room.
We went with a style that appealed to us, but that also fit this 1920's regency Hollywood Hills home. It doesn't feel remodeled. Multiple people have even asked us if the floors are original.
I'll do another post breaking down some of the details and materials, but I just wanted to give you an overview of the whole project. It took (mostly) eight weeks in total, and the kids and I spent the first half of that time at the lake house while The Gorilla dealt with all the dust.
But it was our second kitchen remodel (here was the first in our former home), so I've learned a few tricks about dealing with the insanity. I'm at allParenting today sharing How To Survive A Kitchen Remodel, so check it out if you're interested.
We are so glad to have the most important room in the house functional again!
